Annual Wellness Checkups
These may include things like:
- Physical Examination
- Vaccinations
- Parasite testing and deworming if needed
- Sheath Cleanings
- Dental Examinations
- Coggins Testing
The following vaccinations are recommended for all horses in accordance with the American Association of Equine Practitioners.
- Eastern & Western Equine Encephalitis
- West Nile Virus
- Tetanus
- Rabies
- Potomac Horse Fever
Additional recommended vaccinations, especially for performance horses, boarded horses, or horses that travel frequently are:
- Strangles
- Equine Influenza (EHV)
- Rhinopneumonitis/Herpes Virus (EHV-1 & 4)
