Meet the Team

  • Dr.
    Jessica Glomb
    Veterinarian

    Originally from southwest Michigan, Dr. Glomb had an early interest in equine medicine and worked at a large animal veterinary clinic throughout junior high and high school. She graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017 and a Masters in Public Health in 2018. Upon graduation, she began her career at Countryside. In 2020, Dr. Glomb purchased Countryside from Dr. Pilgrim. 


    Outside of work, Dr. Glomb enjoys hiking and traveling with her husband. Her international travels thus far have taken her to Canada, Australia, and most recently New Zealand. Community band is also a huge part of her life as she plays trumpet in the Wabash Community Band, Peru Circus Band, and the IUK Concert Band. Her pets include a crested gecko, two cats named Scotty & Bones, an Iguana named Mushu, and several chickens and ducks.  

  • Dr.
    Stephen Pilgrim
    Veterinarian

    Dr. Pilgrim graduated from Purdue University in 1973. After graduation he and his wife joined the Peace Corps and served in Brazil, South America. Upon returning to Indiana, he joined a mixed animal practice in North Manchester. Later he moved to a practice in Wabash. In 1988 Dr. Pilgrim opened Countryside Veterinary Hospital in the current location and sold the practice to Dr. Glomb in 2020. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities such as fishing, camping, kayaking, and gardening. 

  • Lisa S.
    Practice Manager

    Lisa graduated from Northfield High School then went on to attend Upper Wabash Vocational School (now Heartland Career Center) where she received a certificate in Accounting/Data Processing. She enjoys living on her hobby farm with her husband Ron and two children Abby and Luke. Their farm is on the Eel River near where she grew up in Roann. Her other hobbies include gardening, bird watching, spending time with her family which also includes 2 dogs, 8 cats, 2 horses, 1 donkey, 6 goats, and several chickens and guineas.

    Veterinary Technician

    Sara is an avid animal lover and enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. 

  • Patty H.
    Veterinary Assistant

    Patty has worked in veterinary medicine a number of years and enjoys seeing the client's love of their pets as they talk about them. When not at Countryside, she enjoys trail riding her horses. Patty and her husband Jeff live in Peru. 

  • Cariel D.
    Veterinary Technician

    Cariel grew up in Biloxi, Mississippi, where her father was stationed in the Air Force.  When he retired, she then moved to Indiana and graduated from Churubusco High School. She is a former nurse and EMT and graduated July 2023 with her Veterinary Technician degree at Penn Foster University. She has always had a love for animals and has worked in several veterinary hospitals over the years while in nursing school at Ball State University.  Cariel worked as an ER nurse and EMT for 2 years, then went on to manage a pheresis and blood collection center at Lutheran Hospital for 14 years.  Cariel is married to a supportive husband and has 3 and one granddaughter.  She has rescued several animals over the years and is currently a mom to a few 4-legged animals; 2-dogs, 8-cats, and 2 horses.  Cariel enjoys spending time with her graddaughter, traveling, riding, and working in her craft room.
